The wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, has condoled with Fati, the widow of late Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru.
A media source confirmed that Osinbajo, again, visited the deceased’s wife on Sunday. Dolapo was among the early sympathizers at the Flag Staff House at Niger Barracks, Abuja.

During her first visit on Friday, Dolapo was received by the DEPOWA President and Chief of Defence Staff’s wife, Victoria Irabor.
The Second Lady expressed condolences on behalf of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari and prayed to God to console the fallen officers’ families.“She assured Mrs Attahiru and family that both the President and his VP would ensure that the memories of the COAS and all the military officers involved would not be forgotten.

“She added that the presidency and the federal government would stand by their families as indicated in the public tributes by President Buhari and his vice,” the source said.
Also at the residence, were the Defence Minister, retired Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi; Women Affairs Minister, Pauline Tallen; wife of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, among others.Attahiru and 10 other military officers died in an air crash on Friday evening near the Kaduna International Airport.

Born on August 10, 1966, Attahiru was a native of Doka in Kaduna. He was among the Service Chiefs appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in January.
