Tottenham striker Harry Kane has become the first player in 22 years to win both the Premier League’s Golden Boot and top the assists charts in the same campaign.
The England international, who has recently declared his desire for a new challenge away from north London, netted his 23rd goal of the season in Sunday’s clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but Kane equalised shortly before half-time with a brilliant volley that flew between Kasper Schmeichel’s legs and into the back of the net.
Vardy netted a second from the spot to have Leicester dreaming of Champions League football, but a Schmeichel own goal levelled the scores before Kane set up substitute Gareth Bale to give Spurs victory, with the Welshman netting a second at the death to make it 4-2.
