Mavin act Rema, has said that comparisons between artistes are unnecessary. In his post, he counted himself fortunate enough to make an impact.

He wrote: “If anyone sounds like me, I am grateful, imagine gracing the game with hits without having an impact or influence
“Sometimes, the comparison is just shameful to watch when you look at the age gap. “Pikin wey dem born for 2000 dey worry you like this.”

The Mavin artiste was responding to critics, who are always fond of pitching him with other artistes, especially the ones that are more established in the industry.
Social Media platforms, especially Twitter is fond of always pitching artistes against themselves, and sometimes deliberately cause friction between the acts
The open confrontation between fellow artistes Ruger and Buju earlier in the year, indicates the power of social media, and how it can cause rancour between fellow artistes.
