2018 World Cup: Victor Moses Joins Super Eagles Ahead Of Warm-Up Clash With England

Victor Moses has arrived the Super Eagles camp in London!

The Chelsea star joined his World Cup team-mates on Thursday morning (May 31) ahead of their warm up match with England scheduled to hold at the Wembley Stadium on June 2. Moses was still on break when the Nigerian national team hosted DR Congo in a friendly game at home that ended 1-1 in Port Harcourt.  “He (Moses) is a world-class player and you can rely on him any time and any moment he is playing,” said Rohr. “He is the most impressive player in my team. He is fast and I hope he will not get injured before the World Cup in Russia. I have absolute confidence in him.”

The Super Eagles were in Abuja to meet President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday (May 30), before departing the country for London without goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye, defender Stephen Eze, striker Junior Lokosa and midfielder Uche Agbo who have been dropped from coach Gernot Rohr’s provisional squad. Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup campaign starts on June 16 in Russia against Croatia, and the team will face Iceland (June 22), before their clash with Lionel Messi’s Argentina in their final Group D tie on June 26, at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.
