Unai Emery To Drop Mesut Ozil For Manchester United Match For These Three Reasons

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly considering dropping Mesut Ozil for the club’s Premier League clash with Manchester United this weekend. The World Cup winner has been in and out of Emery’s Gunners side all season, but started the Europa League defeat by Rennes last time out. Arsenal have lacked creativity in the middle of the park without the German in the side at times this season and Emery has repeatedly played down he has a problem with Ozil. Media reports indicates that Emery could leave the midfielder out once again when Arsenal take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s Manchester United at the Emirates this weekend. It is claimed that there are three reasons the Arsenal boss could overlook Ozil. The first of these is that Emery doesn’t think Ozil works hard enough off the ball, the second is that he doesn’t think the German tracks back enough, and thirdly he allegedly believes the midfielder pulls out of challenges. Ozil is Arsenal’s best-paid player and has made it clear he wants to stay in north London and fight for his place in the first team. And Emery is under pressure to make the most of the German, who earns more than £1million a month to, for the most part, sit on the bench.Photo Credit: Getty
