Presidential aide Lauretta Onochie has reacted to the present crisis in Afghanistan where the Taliban have taken control of the country. The Islamist militants entered the capital virtually unopposed.
The spokesperson of the president took to her social media page to react to the situation sharing that Nigerians must stand by their nation and guard it jealously. She shared that Afghanistan has a total population of 38 Million and Nigeria a population of 200 million. Lauretta further warned Nigerians to be careful of their utterances.

Today is a great day for the Afghan people and the mujahideen. “They have witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years,” Mohammad Naeem, the spokesman for the Taliban’s political office, told Al Jazeera TV. “Thanks to God, the war is over in the country,” he added.
