Real Madrid Admits Cristiano Ronaldo Is “Angry” But Insists The Star Player Won’t Be Sold

As speculation continues to mount over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has stated that the superstar will stay at the club, even though he believes he is angry. Ronaldo stunned Europe when he demanded to leave Madrid this summer following allegations of tax evasion by authorities in Spain.Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain emerged as favourites to land the wantaway 32-year-old, who has strongly denied any wrongdoing as regards his taxes. And Perez has admitted that Ronaldo is upset, presumably with the club for failing to give him a more vigorous backing, but says he thinks the superstar will not leave the European champions.Ronaldo is currently away on international duty with Portugal at the Fifa Confederations Cup in Russia, and the Madrid president said while he’s yet to speak to him directly, he’s been in communication with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes.Photo Credit: Getty
