Solskjaer Confirms Marcus Rashford For Weekend Game Against Leicester City

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed on the club’s official website that injured England international Marcus Rashford is part of the matchday squad set to face Leicester City tomorrow in the Premier Leagues. Marcus Rashford

However, Ole didn’t confirm if Rashford will be in the starting line-up or will start on the bench.

This is the first time the England international will be in a matchday squad this season since undergoing shoulder surgery in the wake of Euro 2020.

“He’s in the squad, yes,” United’s website quoted Solskjaer as saying at a press conference.

“If he’s going to start or not, I can’t tell you now because it wouldn’t be right but he’s worked really hard throughout the whole lay-off.

“He’s been really bright this week, he had a 60-minute involvement in a behind-closed-doors game last week so he’s fit and raring to go.”

Solskjaer also received a boost with captain Harry Maguire returning to training after a calf problem he sustained in United’s loss to Aston Villa.
