Premier League giant Manchester United have emerged as shock favourites to be Christian Eriksen‘s next club. The Red Devils are now considered favourites to sign the Dane in summer after reports emerged of the star stalling over a new contract offer from Spurs. The 26-year-old has 18 months left on his current contract and he could be available for a cut price in the summer.
Spurs are believed to be hopeful of him penning a new deal, but there are concerns as he is yet to put pen to paper. Following Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Cardiff, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino showed little confidence regarding Eriksen’s contract situation. He said: “The phrase is no news is good news but, in this case, I don’t know [if that’s true].”
