Instead Of Sending Police, Tell Airtel/MTN To Release Voice Note – David Hundeyin Replies Akpabio

Nigerian journalist of the moment David Hundeyin has reacted to Minister of Niger Delta, Godwill Akpabio and his wife, Ekaete’s threat of suit, asking that they rather order MTN and Airtel service providers to release some data.
Recall that David Hundeyin had launched an investigation into the death of Iniubong Umoren, a graduate who was killed, raped and buried in Akwa Ibom, linking her death to the State Police and Ekaete Akpabio. Reacting, Akpabio and wife demanded a retraction else, a law suit.
Reacting on Twitter in a first tweet, David Hundeyin wondered why the letter was addressed to BusinessDay, and then dared the Minister to sue him. “Hi @Senator_Akpabio, this has come to my attention. First of all, no idea why the lawyer you hired addressed it to BusinessDay as if I work there Second, please feel free to sue. Thanks“, he tweeted.
In another tweet, he then advised Akpabio and wife on how best they should rather address the issue.

“Instead of sending old policemen to fight with me on TV or threatening me with lawsuits, just authorise Airtel and MTN to release the voice note of the conversation between Frank Akpan and Kufre Effiong. Very simple and will end all this controversy. No need for plenty talk. And I know for a fact that this data exists. It is there.”, he tweeted.

David Hundeyin advised Akpabio and wife on how best they should rather address the issue.
