4 Warning Signs You Might Have Contracted HIV/AIDs

Every disease no matter how mild or severe they are, portray certain warning signs once a person contracts or starts suffering from them.

It is through these signs, that we are able to uncover the possible health problems currently developing in our bodies and know the best way to tackle it. HIV happens to be one of the most serious diseases in the world.

So, there is need to be watchful of the signs that you might be suffering HIV/AIDs. Reason being that it is a viral disease that advances further or gets more serious, the longer you allow it to linger. The need to go for a test cannot be overemphasized once you start noticing some signs and in this article, we are going to have a look at some signs of HIV/AIDs you might notice if you have contracted it.

What Are The Signs You Should Watch out For?

1. Sudden Appearance of Lymph Nodes Some of which are painful; this is one sign of HIV/AIDs that should not be ignored. When a person comes in contact and perhaps, contracts this viral disease, there is every likelihood that such a person might have swollen lymph nodes in the armpit and neck. This is the body’s response to the virus currently battling with the antibodies and should never be taken for granted especially if it lasts for more than a week.

2. Sore Throat That’s Sudden And Also Long lasting; a few weeks after contracting this deadly virus, you will start having a sore throat or feeling like you caught a cold or flu. But one way of knowing whether the cold of flu is due to common reasons or not, is to watch out for the time frame of the sore throat. If your sore throat appears not to be responsive to the treatment, and perhaps last more than a week coupled with appearance of lymph nodes in the neck, armpit and groin area, do well to see a doctor for HIV/AIDs test.

3. Episodes of Night Sweating; night sweats are never good things. If you start having episodes of night sweats that appears to be getting more serious as time goes on to the extent that you get woken up every night due to profuse sweating, beware you might be HIV/AIDs positive. The earlier you get checked the better for you.

4. Fever and Weakness; this is another sign though not necessary that you will experience after some days or weeks the virus gets into your body. If you start feeling so weak and also feverish for no clear reason after having unprotected copulation with someone or sharing sharp objects with someone, you need to know that you might be HIV/AIDs positive and must do yourself good by getting checked.
