Bad breath can be both disorienting and embarrassing especially when it is your crush that tells you, or when you are told publicly. Causes of bad breath even after brushing can be as a result of a number of reasons; some might be conscious while others can be unconscious reasons.

A condition called dry mouth or xerostomia (zeer–o-STOE-me-uh) can contribute to bad breath because production of saliva is decreased. Dry mouth naturally occurs during sleep, leading to “morning breath,” and it worsens if you sleep with your mouth open. Chronic dry mouth can be caused by a problem with your salivary glands and some diseases.

Tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health conditions are another major causes of bad breath even after brushing.
To deal with the causes of bad breath even after brushing ensure to floss daily, drink lots of water, chew gums, eat tooth-cleaning foods, quit smoking, and lastly visit the dentist regularly.
