A woman has choked to death at a Beefeater restaurant in Scunthorpe, England. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to The Anchor pub, next to the Premier Inn hotel on Lakeside Parkway.
Details of the woman’s death are emerging today as members of the community share their shock. The ambulance service said the initial call just before 1.45pm had been to help a woman who was choking. It was later confirmed by police that a woman had died, with officers saying they did not believe there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. One woman who was in the pub at the time said: “It happened in whilst I was there. Didn’t realise she passed away. Ambulance staff was working on her as I left. They were stopping people from entering the building through the main door as I tried to go back in as left something on the table.”
