President Muhammadu Buhari has written an emotional condolence message to his old friend and former political running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, over the death of his mother, Mrs Abigail.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, further disclosed that Mr. President had a lengthy phone call with Pastor Tunde Bakare, as he urged the renowned clergyman to take solace in the fact that she lived long enough to enjoy the fruit of her labour.
In the press statement, Garba Shehu disclosed that “The President called on the bereaved family to uphold the cherished ideals of community service, kindness and generosity associated with the matriarch of the Bakare family, who died on May 5, 2018, aged 108.”
