Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has criticised the arrest of one of her dancers, Eromose Ordia, by policemen who were not in uniform, simply because he was dancing on the street.
Yemi Alade took to Twitter to share a video of the arrest, noting that it is only in Nigeria that uniformed men prey on innocent people. She revealed that Eromose was alleged to be dancing and filming without permission, and was then arrested. She further revealed that although he had been released, the policemen seized his phone.
She wrote, “This is Nigeria, Lagos state CMS police station  Yesterday, My dancer @tomisin_tomtom was harassed for dancing on the streets by policemen not wearing uniform.  What was his crime? dancing!!! Only in #NIGERIA that uniformed men will rather Prey on the innocent and protect the guilty.

Thankfully he was released yesterday but they have seized his phone.WHY? THEY SAID HE HAS TO COME AND SEE THEIR AREA COMMANDER THE NEXT DAY!! WHY?? WHY SUCH ABUSE OF POWER.
