First off, I must say, there’s something about this lockdown that’s creating a lot of controversies. Perhaps, its the idleness or the boredom, I really cannot say. The dragging and social media slamming keep coming in unhindered.That’s beside the point of this article. The argument here is to find who’s the better rapper between DMW’s act, Dremo and Omo Alhaji, Ycee.
On Twitter, the two rappers are going head to head, with Davido caught in the middle, fighting for his act. I wouldn’t go on to state how the rift started. I’ll post a few screenshots and get to the argument – Who is the better rapper?
Lyrics:
Ycee has better lyrical content than Dremo. Remember the diss between Dremo and Davolee, in my opinion, the former’s reply was too week for a diss. Dremo has in the last few years struggled with lyrics (although, I haven’t listened to his recent album yet). As a newbie in the industry, he did well with his opening track Ojere, but in recent times, he has fallen off his lyrical mantle.
YCee understands that rap is about lyrical game and he tries to hit it in every song. From Zaheer, to Mo Salah and even Vacancy.
Ability To Blend On Different Genre:
Here, Dremo takes the crown. YCee is more of a trap music act and no matter how he tries to take it off in a song, it is always present. Dremo can take his place on any song and deliver in that beautiful manner he knows how best to.

Consistency:
It is hard to give a crown here because the two rappers have been doing their thing. However, YCee does it for me. This is because of the Kpa song Dremo has with Davido. A rapper turned singer? That just kills the reason for you being a singer.
All in all, both rappers are good in their own right but for me, YCee is the better rapper.
P.S- It’s about time to listen to Dremo’s Codename Vol. 2 alnum. I’ll wait for your comments below.
