Yay Or Nay! From Kaduna To Kano, Here Are 5 Nigerian States With Little Or No Good Teachers

When it comes to education, teachers are an indispensable resources as they are charged with the responsibility of transmitting organised learning experiences to learners. However, what is the state of teachers in Nigeria? According to the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, about 300,000 of the 700,000 teachers in Nigerian schools are not qualified to teach. With Kaduna topping our list here are five states in Nigeria that need to pay better attention in promoting the educational system:
Kaduna: Kaduna state has been topping the search engine after the news of teachers failing primary four exam went viral. below is an image of one of the exam script.

Edo: It has been reported that a lot of teachers over here lack the certificate to qualify them for a teaching job and a high number of them are said to be ghosting.

Niger: This state made it to the list due to several complains over the poor quality of teachers in the schools. It has become essential for state government to pay necessary attention to this sector so has to help promote quality education in the country.

Ondo: Nigerian schools seem to be deteriorating in terms of the rate of unqualified teachers especially in public schools; most are known to have fake their results and this is really affecting the performance of students.

Kano: For records of unqualified teachers, Kano also made its way to the list. Due to Boko Haram attacks in the North, there have been a reduction in the numbers of teachers and in replacing them a whole lot of unqualified ones were considered.
