Singer Wizkid is definitely all about setting milestones this year as he has been crowned the artist of the year for Africa by Apple music. The streaming platform shared the news via their social media platform with a photo of the hitmaker holding his plaque.
“Thank you to Apple Music for this award,” Wizkid said. “It’s a blessing to get to do what I do, and I’m proud to be representing for Africa.” Other Apple music winners was The Weeknd who bagged the Global Artist of the year award, Olivia Rodrigo who won Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Scriptonite won Russia’s artist of the year award, RIN won Germany’s artist of the year and Aya Nakamura won it for France. This award comes a few hours after the superstar shut down the O2 Arena two days in a row for his “Made In Lagos” tour delivering electrifying performance alongside other superstars.
