Why Morocco Game Is A Trap – Spain Coach, Fernando Hierro

Spain Coach, Fernando Hierro says Morocco clash won’t be easy for his side.

La Roja will target a victory when they play their final group game against Morocco on Monday night (June 26) in Kaliningrad, Russia. “Experience tells us that these kinds of matches are trap games, ones which are very difficult because you come up against a team with nothing to play for and where all the players want to vindicate themselves,” Hierro told Radio MARCA. “If we want to have a good match and win then it’ll have to be because of what we do.”

Hierro was appointed Spain head coach less than 48 hours to their opening game with Portugal, which ended in a 3-3 draw, the team got their first win against Iran in their second game. “It’s really difficult to play against a team that lets in very few goals,” Hierro said on the 1-0 victory over Iran. “Of course we evaluate our performance and analyze everything in order to improve. “This World Cup is teaching us that nobody will win matches easily.”
