The effect of Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, lived far beyond the length and breadth of the Old Trafford Stadium, as former Liverpool defender and Sky Sport pundit, Jamie Carragher, hurled a mouthful of spittle on a Manchester United fan and his little daughter on Saturday afternoon.
The England legend was caught on camera aiming a mouthful of saliva at the passenger window of a car containing the Manchester United fan and his 14-year-old daughter after Saturday’s Red Devils victory over Jurgen Klopp’s men.
According to Carragher, the whole incident started when the Manchester United fan repeatedly taunted him about the scoreline while driving. Carragher said: ““It was a bit more than, ‘Hiya Jamie, it was 2-1’. It went on for two or three times. I drove away at first and it just continued. I lost my head. I shouldn’t have done it but I was thinking what is a grown man doing, carrying on like that two or three times with his daughter in the car?”
