Nigeria was in pandemonium yesterday as a video surfaced online of a customs officer killing an innocent civilian over N5000 bribe. In the video, people could be seen arguing with customs officers over the N5000 grievances and before anyone could know what was happening the officer cocked his gun and shot it, killing the man on the spot.

The customs service immediately released a statement saying the killing was accidental because there was a struggle over the firearm which according to the video many believe it wasn’t true.
After watching that video of the Custom officer that shot an unarmed civilian, it’s a shame that this is the best Press Release that could come from the Nigeria Customs Service.
