Former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the 2019 elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar took to his Twitter handle to call for the reform of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), just some days after the Special Police operative murdered Tiamiyu Kazeem a local footballer of the Remo Star Football club Ogun State. 
In his tweet, the former Vice President stated that the reform of the Nigeria Police especially the SARS unit is long overdue. He added that the police was created to protect the life and property of citizens and not to put them into harm’s way.
Atiku Abubakar tweeted;
