The Nigerian Nightmare and UFC welterweight world champion, Usman Kamaru calls out Jorge Masvidal for a repeat of their 2020 title fight which he won and retained his title before his latest title defence last night against his former teammate Gilbert Burns which he knocked out in the third round of his bout at UFC 258 Sunday morning February 14. Usman Kamaru bounced back from an early first-round battering, to floor his former teammate Burns with a heavy right jab that left the Brazilian Nightmare stunned before raining downloads of punches on his old teammate.

Burns had dropped Usman Kamaru with a short punch within a minute of the fight, but the Nigerian Nightmare recovered despite the flurry of punches from the well-conditioned Burns.

Usman Kamaru defeated Masvidal to retain his title in 2020 and wants a rematch after the American had stated that he took the fight on a six-day notice and with a broken nose.

“We got this little street thug calls himself Jesus, thinking he’s Jesus,” Usman said referencing Jorge Masvidal.
“They tried to make that fight but he kept backing out. The only reason this man took the fight is because it was on six days notice and he had a built-in excuse. And he’s still running his mouth talking.
“Guess what? It’s not done. I’ll give you a whole training camp. I guarantee you won’t sign on that dotted line because this time I’m going to finish your a***.”

UFC president, Dana White, said of the Usman-Masvidal rematch, “There’s a lot of options for him right now. And if that’s the fight he wants, and that’s the fight Masvidal wants, and I’m sure the people would like to see it too…so, I don’t know.”
