UEFA Charge Pep Guardiola And Liverpool For Misconduct In Their Champions League QuarterFinal Clash

The top European football governing body, UEFA has charged Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola for improper conduct after he was sent off at half time, during Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal clash against Liverpool.
UEFA also charged the management of Liverpool for use of fireworks and objects throwing objects inside the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola was charged with improper conduct after he was caught communicating with the bench after he was banished to the stands by the referee.
Article 69 of UEFA’s disciplinary regulations states that any coach who is sent off may not communicate “directly or indirectly with the team’s players and/or technical staff during the match”.
Liverpool were already facing four UEFA charges over the setting off of fireworks, throwing of objects, acts of damage and crowd disturbances after City’s team bus was attacked at Anfield prior to the first-leg on 5 April. Both cases will be heard on the 31st of May.
