Brazilian attacker, Neymar Dos Santos, has been announced as France’s footballer of the year, after scoring 19 goals in 20 games for Paris Saint Germain this season.
Despite the fact that he missed out on the last three months in the league due to his knee injury, the former Barcelona attacker eventually turned out to be the best man in the league, as he bested his teammates, Kylian Mbappe and Edison Cavani, to win the highly coveted award.
The award was presented to him by his fellow Brazilian maestro, Delima Ronaldo. Neymar has always been touted to become the next big thing in football after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo eventually hang their boots. He will however, have to rival rising stars like Mohammed Salah and Eden Hazard, if he intend to retain his dominance at the global stage.
