Travis Scott Breaks Silence Speaks In First Interview After Astroworld Tragedy

American Rapper Travis Scott has finally broken silence about the unfortunate incident at the Astro world festival which happened a month ago. Speaking with Charlamagne Tha God, Scott discussed his emotions in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy and the ensuing weeks. He also claimed that he was unaware that people were dying during his performance.

Travis Scott Breaks Silence Speaks In First Interview After Astroworld Tragedy Charlamagne Tha God asked Travis when he learned that people had died at Astroworld. “It wasn’t really until minutes until the press conference until I figured out what happened,” Scott said. “Even after the show, you know, you’re just kind of hearing things, which I didn’t know the exact details until, you know, minutes before the press conference. And even at that moment, you’re kind of just like, ‘Wait, what?’ You know, you just went through something.”

Charlamagne later asked Travis Scott if he could hear screams for help at moments when he paused his show. “It’s so crazy ’cause I’m that artist, too,” Scott said. “Anytime you can hear something like that, you want to stop the show, you want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. Anytime I could see anything like that, I did. I stopped a couple of times to just make sure everybody was OK.

And I really just go off the fans’ energy as a collective, you know, call and response. I just didn’t hear that. I got music, I got my in-ears, but I just didn’t hear that.”
