Africa’s skyline is growing at a very fast pace and the relatively stout unimpressive buildings in city centres are being replaced with new, bold architecture styles. Here are Five buildings in Africa whose height is nothing but tall and impressive:
NECOM House:
This is a skyscraper located in Lagos. The 32-story building was completed in 1979, and houses the headquarters of NITEL.

88 on Field:
88 on Field is a skyscraper in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was built in 1985, has 25 floors and is 147 meters tall.

Ponte City:
Ponte City is a skyscraper in the Berea neighbourhood, just next to Hillbrow, Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built in 1975 to a height of 173 m, making it the tallest residential skyscraper in Africa.

The Carlton Centre:
This is a skyscraper and shopping centre located in downtown Johannesburg, South Africa. At 223 metres, it has been the tallest office building in Africa since 1973.

UAP Old Mutual Tower:
This is a 33-storey office complex in the Upper Hill neighborhood of Nairobi, the capital and largest city in Kenya.
