Unknown hoodlums raze down two schools Kogi State ahead of Dino Melaye’s visit.
The Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin Noma and Lokongoma Secondary School in Lokoja LGA which were due for commissioning by Dino Melaye on Wednesday morning have been razed down and vandalized by unknown thugs. The renovation of the schools was facilitated by the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district.
The suspected thugs had on Tuesday warned Melaye against visiting the state amid his running battle with the State Governor, Yahaya Bello, that led to his failed recall process.
“We have been waiting for the inauguration scheduled for today (Wednesday), only to discover this,” Marian Suleman, an SS3 student told Punch. This is happening over one month after Melaye’s series of court battles with both federal and Kogi State government, which prompted his exit from ruling party, APC, to join PDP.
