Here’s The Embarrassing Reason Why The 2018 Nobel Literature Prize Was Postponed

The 2018 Nobel Prize for Literature has been postponed indefinitely, because of a sexual misconduct scandal that has forced many members of the board that manage the award to resign.
In a press statement released to Reuters, the management of the globally recognized award disclosed that the award was postponed after the multiple cases of sexual misconduct rocked the leadership of the Swedish Academy that has always been responsible for the award. The present decision was arrived at in view of the currently diminished Academy and the reduced public confidence in the Academy.
Work on the selection of a laureate is at an advanced stage and will continue as usual in the months ahead but the Academy needs time to regain its full complement, engage a larger number of active members and regain confidence in its work, before the next Literature Prize winner is declared
