Following an emergency security meeting at Enugu State government House, the South East Governors Forum has announced the ban of all activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the South East region.
Reading out a ten-point communique reached at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ebonyi state, Engr Dave Umahi said they are committed to taking strategic steps towards realising the restructuring agitations in the country.
The forum further appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately withdraw the Military troupes deployed to the SouthEast region so as to douse the tension already created in the polity, assuring that they will follow up ongoing investigation into allegations of killings and torture by the Military.
