Political activist Reno Omokri has carpeted actor Deyemi Okanlawon after he called out the activist for his comment on Austin Eguavon the coach of the Super Eagles. The activist had praised the coach for exceptional performance at the ongoing AFCON saying a local coach is doing what Gernot Rohr, a foreign coach, could not do during his time.
Deyemi had attacked Reno for calling Eguavon Local in his post noting that he is Nigerian enough to know the term is insulting and degrading. He urged him to replace the word ‘Local’ with homegrown or home base.

Reno has now fired back at Deyemi sharing that he should stop using Panadol for another man’s headache. He shared that he was raised in the Ghetto, in the US and the word local has never been considered derogatory. He shared that Eguavon is not complaining and several news outlets have called him local so it’s not a problem.
