Here is the dramatic moment a woman is attacked by a female mugger at a cash machine in broad daylight.
The woman was getting money out of the machine at around 3pm in Leytonstone, London on Wednesday when the attack took place. Shocking footage shows her attacker pretending to be in the queue behind her before the victim is punched in the head.
The victim is spun around a number of times and is slapped in the face as the attacker attempts to take her handbag. The women continue to fight before the mugger manages to grab the bag and runs away. The footage, taken on the local Post Office’s CCTV at around 3pm on Wednesday, shows three pedestrians walk by but they do not stop to help. A staff member, who alerted police, said that the woman was ‘badly assaulted’ and was treated inside the Post Office. The video was posted on social media after the assault and led to people praising the victim for defending herself.
