The Nigerian senate has urged the Federal Government to intensify the efforts channeled into securing the safe rescue of Leah Sharibu, the only Dapachi schoolgirl still held captive by the Boko Haram terrorist organization.
The Upper Chamber also urged the government to not relent on its efforts to secure the release of the remaining Chibok schoolgirls still in the custody of Boko Haram insurgents.
The Senate’s appeal to the Federal Government is coming few days to the nationally celebrated Children’s day break.
Leah Sharibu has been a victim of the terrorist sect since the 19th of February 2018, when she was abducted with over 100 other schoolgirls. The terrorist sect refused to release her due to her decision not to renounce her faith in Christ.
