Russia’s Alan Dzagoev’s World Cup Over With Hamstring Injury!

Alan Dzagoev’s World Cup could over, going off for Villarreal’s Denis Cheryshev with hamstring injury 20 minutes into opener against Saudi Arabia.

Dzagoev, who’s Euro 2012 top scorer, pulled up and clutched his hamstring when the hosts were leading 1-0 in the first half. Hamstring injuries can take weeks to heal, with Russians now wishing the 27-year-old CSKA Moscow midfielder quick recovery.

Russia go in for their half-time break with a two-goal lead, after Yuri Gazinsky headed them into the lead on 12 minutes, before Denis Cheryshev scored his team’s second goal 31 minutes later.
