Russia Has Lost 15300 Personnel, 506 Tanks And 1560 Armoured Vehicles Since The Start Of The War – Ukrainian Authority

Russia has lost 15,300 personnel since troops invaded Ukraine on 24 February, Ukraine’s armed forces have claimed.

The armed forces also said Russian armed forces had lost 506 tanks and 1,556 armoured vehicles.

The figures provided by Ukrainian officials cannot be verified yet and experts point out it is in the interests of countries at war to give higher estimates of enemy casualties.

Earlier this month, Russia’s Ministry of Defence claimed 498 of its troops had been killed in Ukraine and a further 1,597 wounded – the first time it admitted any casualties from its invasion of Ukraine.

A pro-Kremlin tabloid reported yesterday that it had official figures showing 9,861 Russian troops had been killed in Ukraine – before it quickly deleted the story, saying the figures were inaccurate.

Conservative US estimates last week suggested more than 7,000 Russian troops had been killed in less than three weeks of fighting.
