Royal Wedding: Meghan Markle’s Mother Quits Her Job Ahead Of Nuptials…Plans ‘To Set Up Own Practice’

Meghan Markle‘s mother has reportedly quit her job just ahead of the royal wedding. Doria Ragland was employed as a social worker at a mental health clinic in Los Angeles, but it said to have left recently in order to potentially set up her own practice.“It was Doria’s decision to leave,” a source told Us Weekly. “She has talked about starting her own private practice, focusing on working with elderly patients.” Prince Harry’s bride spoke passionately about her mum’s work with the elderly in a piece written last year. She wrote: “My mum’s a yoga instructor, but she does social work, as well, and she works specifically with the geriatric community. For me to watch this level of life-long sensitivity to nurturing and caregiving, but at the same time my mom has always been a free spirit. She’s got dread locks and a nose ring. She just ran the LA Marathon. She added: “We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I’ll still find so much solace in her support.” On Monday it was revealed that Meghan and her mum will stay at Cliveden House the night before she weds Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Harry will be staying at Cowarth Park with brother and best man Prince William.Photo Credit: Getty
