Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey DJ Neptune has finally addressed the issue between himself and singer Rema. The Dumebi singer had called out the DJ via his official Twitter account on Friday for releasing their collaboration, titled For You, without his consent.
The singer took to social media where he called out Neptune saying that he should not take his humility for granted. The Mavin Record signee further revealed that Neptune should not violate the code of the industry and if because he has spoken out, he makes new enemies, he doesn’t care.

Neptune has now come out to clarify the issue sharing that he had indeed gotten permission from the artist’s management before going ahead to release the song on his second studio album, Greatness 2.0, on Friday. The DJ shared pictures of chats between himself, and Rema’s manager, Seun Okeke, showing that he was given the green light to publish the song and also make preparations for a music video.
He also shared a letter titled, ‘Re: alleged use of Divine Ikubor a.k.a Rema’s Intellectual Property’, explaining how he followed due process in releasing the said collaboration. The DJ clarified that despite the call out, he is not upset with Rema as it is obvious that proper information was not passed across to him through his available channels.
