The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has displayed his strong support for all Nigerian women by hosting all Nigerian first ladies at the Presidential villa in Abuja.
Speaking at a dinner organized to celebrate the first ladies on Saturday 26th May, President Buhari commended them for the numerous humanitarian activities they carry out in their states.
President Buhari assured the first ladies of his support for their lifesaving activities. He said: “I appreciate the role you are playing as your work helps in pricking the conscience of the people”.
Mrs. Aisha Buhari, who also attended the dinner with her husband, highlighted the complementary role that wives of governors play in supporting the programmes and policies of their husbands, she also laid emphasis on the need for the governors to encourage them.
