He Is Facing Trial – Police Confirms Its Officer Killed Rivers Tricycle Operator

Rivers State Police Command has confirmed its officer shot a tricycle operator dead in the State in the early hours of today, saying the suspect is facing trial.
Recall that the decease co-workers and youths in the state took over the streets of the area today, demanding justice for the life lost. The Policeman had allegedly shot the man for refusing to give him 100 naira bribe.

 

In a statement signed by the Command Spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni, the Police confirmed the ugly incidence, affirming that the defaulting Inspector was confirmed to have shot the tricycle operator at Rukpokwu Junction in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

Omoni said that the Commissioner of Police in the state condemned the incident and has ordered the immediate commencement of the Inspector’s Orderly Room Trial.
