Nigerian Talents Manager, Lady Kara has wondered why Obi Cubana‘s friends will donate over 200 cows for him just for the funeral of his mother. Acknowledging that she is Igbo and the tribe is very good at throwing awesome parties, Lady Kara still thinks over 200 cows for just one party is a bit overboard.
Recall that the boss of the Cubana group had lost his mother in December 2020 and as he is preparing to host the final rites, his friends and associates have reportedly donated 246 cows and containers of drinks for the ceremony which will hold in Oba, Anambra State. An update from another close associate numbers the cows to 346, apart from some rams and goats.
Taking to her Instagram story to react, Lady Kara, who is Oritsefemi’s former manager said she is worried about the mentality of young ones idolising this hush puppy type of display, asking if this act is motivating people to continue or it is an indoctrination. Going ahead to pray for protection for bereaved family, Lady Kara also prayed that the people who have less be motivated to work hard and not pushed by envy to keep up with crime.
“I am lgbo and yes we know how to throw awesome parties with yummy offerings… but 200 cows for one party… a burial… that’s a bit over the top. How many more deaths does one need? I’m worried about the mentality of young ones idolising this hush puppy type of display. Is it motivating them or is it an indoctrination? May God grant the bereaved protection and fortitude and may folk who have less be motivated and not pushed by envy to try and keep up via crime with this type of display…. but What did the poor cows do to deserve to die?”, she wrote.
In another story, she then considered the issues of insecurity in the nation and offered some prayers for the safety of everyone who will be attending the ceremony. “May God protect the lives of all my party people in the East… I am worried about the herdsmen, kidnappers and unknown gunmen attacks on wealthy Ibos… Dear God please do not allow anything happen to anyone… keep them all safe! May it end in praise”, she added.
