Ortom In EFCC Office

The immediate past Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has arrived at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Makurdi, the state capital.

Ortom was in EFCC’s office on Tuesday following an invitation by the anti-graft agency.

The former governor who drove in his private SUV vehicle, arrived at the EFCC office located along Gordon Aluor Street, old GRA, Makurdi, around 10:08am.

He was later joined by his two former aides including Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase and his Principal Special Assistant, Abraham Kwaghgu.

The former Governor was still at the office of the law enforcement agency as of the time of filing this report.

In other news, Operatives of the Imo Police Command have arrested five notorious armed robbery suspects terrorizing Owerri and its environs.

ASP Henry Okoye, the command’s spokesman, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday.

Okoye said the suspects were arrested by the command’s Tactical Team at about 4.30p.m. on June 16.

The suspects include David Christopher, 19; Sheriff Abraham, 19; Emmanuel Akala, 27; Sanusi Umar, 20 and Mohammed Ashiru, 20.
