Oprah Winfrey Documentary To Be Release On Apple TV+

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey is getting her own biographical documentary very soon and we cannot wait to see it.  Streaming platform Apple TV+ announced today that they are ordering a two-part documentary focusing on the Oscar-winner’s life.

Oprah Winfrey Documentary To Be Release On Apple TV+According to Deadline, the new documentary will focus on 25 years of American history through the lens of one show and one woman who rose from humble roots to become a globally famous talk show host, producer, actress, and philanthropist.

Academy Award-winner Kevin MacDonald will direct the two-part documentary with the help of Emmy nominee Rolake Bamgbose who will serve as showrunner. MacDonald will also partner with Lisa Erspamer and her Happy Street Entertainment company again on the project. The last time the pair worked together was Whitney Houston’s biographical documentaryWhitney. Winfrey and Erspamer also worked together on The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1999 to 2009.

Winfrey’s Harpo production company has been working with Apple to expand its unscripted shows after they both signed a multi-year deal in 2018. Oprah Conversation, Oprah’s Book Club, and Oprah Talks COVID-19 are currently available to stream on Apple TV +.
