Onuachu Moves To Turkish Club Trabzonspor On Loan

Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu has linked up with Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor on a season-long loan deal.

Onuachu joined Trabzonspor from English Championship side, Southampton.

The 29-year-old only moved to Southampton in January but failed to make impact at the South Coast club.

The lanky striker failed to register a goal in 12 league appearances for the Saints, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Onuachu made just one appearance for Southampton this season.

He will be the third Nigerian to play for Trabzonspor following in the footsteps of Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme.

Similarly, Arsenal’s former club record signing Nicolas Pepe has joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a free transfer, ending a four-year spell at Emirates Stadium.

Pepe scored 27 goals in 112 games for Arsenal and spent last season on loan with French side Nice.
