One of the four officers involved in George Floyd’s death Thomas Lane, has been released from jail after posting bond.
The 37 year old ex-Minneapolis officer was charged with aiding and abetting 2nd degree manslaughter and had been held on $750,000 conditional bail.
He has, however, reportedly been freed from the Hennepin County jail on Wednesday by 5:08 p.m, according to jail records. “Now we can watch what happens next from outside. We will bring a motion to dismiss and hopefully it will be granted“, his lawyer, Earl Gray told Tribune, confirming the release.
