Barely 24 hours after a ghastly tanker explosion claimed many lives on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, another accident tanker accident occurred on Friday at the Suleja-Minna highway in Niger state.
According to Punch, 5 people sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to the General Hospital in Suleja.
The accident happened in the early hours of Friday as a result of a head-on collision between a fuel tanker and a trailer. The tanker was laden with Kerosene,
The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, explained that “the accident happened at 0857hrs local time on Suleja-Minna road, specifically in Mallam Karo village.” He also explained that the cause of the crash was speed violation, leading to loss of control.
