Nigerian Navy Cancels 65th Anniversary Over Death Of Late Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru And Kaduna Crash

The Nigerian Navy has announced the cancellation of events intended to mark its 65th anniversary. The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo said the order was given to honour the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, and some senior officers who died in a Plane crash in Kaduna on the 21st of May,2021.

 Navy Cancels 65th Anniversary Over Death Of Late Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru And Kaduna Crash In a statement released by the director of information, Navy headquarters, Suleman Dahun expressed his deepest sympathy and that of the Nigerian Navy to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force as well as the families of the departed.

President Muhammadu Buhari expressed shock over the death of the Chief of Army staff noting that they were national heroes who paid the ultimate price. The chief of Army staff is set to be laid to rest later today.
