Nollywood Veteran actress, Sola Sobowale, has recently been in the limelight for her roles in different hit movies, but not just for simply acting, our Woman Crush Wednesday has been killing all the roles she has been in, talk about a total Queen! Sobowale, 52, was born on the 26th of December, 1965 in Ondo State, where she completed her primary, secondary education. She has since her debut, been in the movie industry for over 40 years now. She first joined acting as a member of the Awada Kerikeri Group under the leadership of Adebayo Salami, after which she starred in her first movie in 1992, with a character in the movie “Asewo to re Mecca“. She has since then appeared in more than two-hundred movies to which she self-produced Seventy. The quinquagenarian, over the years of her acting career, has scripted, co-scripted, produced and directed several movies that have received positive reviews and acceptance from viewers. After she took a long break from the industry to take care of her children, Sobowale came with a bang with her roles in the Kemi Adetiba movie, the Wedding Party one and two, where she effortlessly played the Mother to Adesua Etomi’s (the bride) character. The role which brought her much-deserved positive reviews seems to have launched her into a rocket of successful and widely accepted movies, as she recently starred in another Kemi Adetiba’s box office hit, King of Boys, where people had nothing but praises to shower on her stellar performance as she played in the lead. The Veteran thespian is married to Oludotun Sobowale and blessed with five children.
