Buhari Wins Again! House Of Rep Fail To Override Buhari’s Peace Corps Decision

The attempt by the Federal House of Representatives to override President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision on the proposed Nigerian Peace Corps organization has failed again, as the members of the house voted against the bill.

The bill had been passed by the National Assembly, however, it was rejected by President Buhari in February, prompting members of the proposed para-military organization to launch prayer rallies in several states.

An attempt by some lawmakers to override the president’s decision ended in another failure, as the majority voted against the bill on Thursday. The new bill for the organization was sponsored by Honourable Emmanuel Orker-Jev (APC, Benue).
