The Department of State Services (DSS), has released the details of some notorious criminals arrested selling guns to robbers and kidnappers in various parts of the country.
According to the Vanguard, the arrests are products of the arms clampdown operation themed: A Nationwide Sweep. The 10-day clampdown which started on the 13th of March led to the arrest of a good number of wanted criminals in nine states.
The gun-running criminals were arrested in: Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Rivers, Imo, Anambra and Nasarawa state. The operation also exposed the illegal arms sale between criminals in Cameroon and Nigeria.
