The woman at the centre of a sex extortion tape – Montia Sabbag – with Kevin Hart has confirmed they had an ‘intimate relationship’ last month.
Montia, 27, in a shock press conference with her lawyer, broke her silence Wednesday morning saying she was a victim like Hart and that she had nothing to do with the extortion attempts made against him.
Appearing with her lawyer Lisa Bloom, Montia said: ‘I am not an extortionist. I am not a stripper. I am an actress and a recording artist. I had nothing to do with this video. I’m sorry for any involvement I had in this.’
Bloom added that: ‘Montia is a crime victim. It is a crime to secretly put a camera in a private place. It is a crime to secretly record people. Kevin Hart appears to be the victim of this criminal just as Montia is the victim. We want Mr Hart to join us in bringing the criminal to justice. Someone apparently snuck cameras into Kevin Hart’s private hotel suite in Las Vegas and recorded bedroom images of the two of them.’
Sabbag’s lawyer said she is not demanding any money from Hart and denied previous reports that she had agreed to sit a lie detector test for $420,000.
However, when asked how Montia knew the Get Hard actor, Bloom said: ‘She had an intimate relationship with Mr Hart about a month ago.’
